We have made this go fund me on behalf of our beautiful amazing Mum, Alana Browning.
September 2013 our world was turned upside down when we were told our beautiful mum, our bestfriend, our kids adored Nan and the rock of our family, has stage 4 Bowel cancer.
In this battle Mum has had major surgery, 80 plus rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, countless visits & stays in hospital not to mention all the side effects suffered along with this. After conquering these battles her recent scan earlier this month old has shown the unimaginable & those life changing words have came from her oncologist ‘there is nothing more we can do to help you.’
We have done alot of research throughout the diagnosis and we found a treatment in China. It is very costly with only 1 round of this treatment costing $20k but before she can go tests & scans are needed to be done so the treatment can be personalised to suit Mum's DNA & cancer. The tests alone come to approx. $10,000 plus flights, accommodation & daily living expenses. She may need many rounds & possibly could be there for months.
Bowel cancer is one of the worst cancers & being stage 4 means its travelled & has metastasized to Mum's lungs & liver. Our beautiful mum isn't letting cancer win without a fight and hoping with your help she can beat this and be a survivor.
Anyone who knows our Mum, Alana will know how she lights up the room.
Her smile & easy going personality means she always makes friends where ever she goes.
Anyone who she cares about she would doing anything for, without question or hesitation.
Her family are the most important thing in her life, especially her grandchildren. They are the motivation that keeps her fighting strong. She has never been 1 to complain about her life, she gets back up and soldiers on to get through whatever life throws her way.
We don’t want to lose our Mum, we don’t even want to think that it’s a possibility that it could happen. As I'm sure you all know how much our Mum's and Nans are adored we are asking you to please help save the life of ours. Her life is so precious to us & our kids - as a family we hate that we aren’t able to afford to pay for this treatment for her so that’s where every little bit can make a difference.
