Alan Silverman

Friends of Alan Silverman,
Fire Island Pines always held a special place in Alan’s heart, and so we are commemorating a new wooden bench in his name. It will be placed near the dock where Alan loved watching the Fire Island sunset across the Great South Bay. The bench will feature a plaque with Alan’s name, surrounded by the names of his friends and loved ones.* It will be ready in time for next summer.
The minimum suggested donation is $35.
Should the amount raised exceed the cost of the bench (approx. $1500), the balance will be donated to Alan's favorite charity: DIG––Development in Gardening. DIG supports communities to become healthy and self-reliant, and to work together to ensure all have access to nutritious food while preserving and protecting their environment.
On behalf of Alan... THANK YOU!
*As of now, the plaque is being manufactured, so if you haven't already donated, it's too late to appear on the plaque––but donations will continue to support DIG.
