Finding A Kidney for Jim
Donation protected
Many of you know my dad.....for those of you that don't, this is Jim! :)
Jim was diagnosed with Polycistic Kidney Disease (PKD). His kidneys are currently operating at only 10% now, and he was recently officially placed on the donor list at the Mayo Clinic. Jim also has a rare blood type (O-), making his chances for a donor much more complicated.
*** For anyone interested in becoming a donor, you can go online at mayoclinic.org/living-donor-transplant or call [phone redacted] ***
Over the years, many of you have grown to love Jim for his sense of humor and love for others (especially the kiddos). His has always had a great big heart to go along with stature, with many lovingly referring to him as a teddybear. He would give anything to help others, but now he needs our help.
He is an amazing husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, neighbor, coworker, and friend, and we can't even begin to imagine life without him. This fundraiser will help to offset medical costs, traveling costs (to and from the Mayo Clinic), as well as recovery time.
We will try to keep everyone updated as much as possible through this time, and would appreciate any prayers and positive thoughts send our way. Thank you so much for your love, friendship, and support.
Please feel free to share this link. Social media has become such a powerful and useful tool in times like these. More than anything, we hope to find a donor soon!!
