Dear Supporter,
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is an international organization of more than 180,000 college educated women who are dedicated to community service. AKArama Foundation, Incorporated is the nonprofit 501c(3) entity of Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated of which I have been a member for 16 years and currently hold the position of Vice President/Program Chairman 2014-2015.
Each year the AKArama Foundation, Inc. awards thousands of dollars in college scholarships and grants, utilizing the generous donations of contributors like you. Funds raised and contributions received are also used to increase educational opportunities for school-aged children, develop and implement programs to address family issues, support the Foundation's Community Service Center (located in the Woodlawn Community of Chicago), and provide other community services. Funds raised will allow our organization to continue to offer the exemplary community service we have provided for over 90 years!
