AJ’s Birthday Fundraiser for Lexi’s Legacy

Hi friends and family... My birthday is this week, and I always do a fundraiser for either the Dobies in our rescue, or Feeling Fine Canine Rescue, Little P, Arya, and my most beloved Lexi, who we tragically lost in May to tetanus. She was barely 3 .. When I lost Lexi in May, I vowed to form a non profit group to raise awareness for rare and deadly diseases contracted primarily from outdoors, and to help raise money and support for other heartbroken owners who are, or know of someone who’s dealing with it . I learned of 4 other cases locally just that month alone and sadly those pups didn’t make it either. It is increasing in numbers. I’ve done some research and have reached out to Little P’s therapy and holistic veterinarian as well as medical experts in both human and canine, to get as much knowledge as possible,research findings, new protocols and more. I am beyond grateful to all my rescue friends who came together with a fundraiser that enabled Lexi the best chance at a great 24 hr emergency hospital for a week, receiving the very best round the clock care and treatment. It was over $6000 dollars and there was no way we could have made that possible for her without your help. I’ve yet to be able to fulfill my promise to Lexi to start the process of getting my 501 c3 for “Lexi’s Legacy”. That will be the name of it. It’s been a tough year for all, and with a limited income from disability, it’s just that much harder. I’m still not comfortable doing this, but my pride has to be put aside over my promise to my beloved Lexi, so I’m requesting this year for my birthday, any donations to make this a reality in the next few months.
