Gavin's Heart Surgery

Gavin, our 5 year old, was in for his well child check when the doctor discovered his heart was not beating correctly. We were referred to children's mercy where he was diagnosed with WPW (Wolff-Parkinson-White) syndrome. The doctors recommend him undergoing cardiac ablation to correct this. The surgery is scheduled for July 2nd. The medical expenses alone will be tremendous for our family. In addition, Shannon will need to take unpaid FMLA to care for him. If this surgery is successful, his condition can be cured. The doctors believe he is at too high of a risk for sudden cardiac death not to perform this operation. Asking for help is not easy for us, but this surgery has to be done and our family would appreciate any help to offset these costs.
