Save Sophie

My friend from high school, Jen, is getting married  in three weeks. Yesterday she accidentally hit her daughter's dog, Sophie, in the driveway. Jen is beside herself with guilt and grief. Her daughter Lauren has had Sophie since she was 1.
The vet bills are $9,000. 
Jen has tried to return her wedding dress to offset costs, as well as de-hire the photographer, but the dress is non-returnable, and she signed a contract for the photos.
Her wealthy ex-husband refuses to help with the vet bills.
This is his daughter's dog.
Jen is an amazing woman.
Can we please help her in these absolutely awful circumstances?
