AJ needs our help, now more than ever!

AJ was born to my sister, Kimmie, at 5 lbs 5 ounces. We knew that there would be complications, but no one, not even the doctors, were ready for the number of issues that arose once my nephew was born.

While still in the womb, he had to have a surgery performed on him to insert a shunt, so that he could properly produce urine. That was only the beginning.

He has been diagnosed with many conditions, each with their own procedure or set of procedures. The largest right now being end-stage renal disease. As of the writing of this, he is struggling to hold on as his kidneys try to fail on him. His esophagus didn't naturally reach his stomach properly, amongst other things. Right now the specialists are having to commit to on-going peritoneal dialysis, and he will require a transplant once he is old enough to have such a procedure done.

During this time, since his birth, his mother has been separated from the rest of her immediate family; her husband, and her 6 year old son, Neco. This funding would go towards aiding with the process, as well as working to relocate the family closer to her. As it stands, the rest of her family and support are just about three hours away, which makes visiting even harder due to COVID-19 restrictions at the hospital. As of the time of writing this, she hasn't seen her son Neco in 11 days, and it only promises to take longer due to a lot of factors, because she can't simply leave her son's side.
