Aisla Mae’s fundraiser walk for Young carers x

Do you want to join me in making a
difference? 

Hi I am Aisla Mae and I am 8 years old.
with help from my parents I wanted to try 
and help a local charity, especially a one
that helps children, there are so many
children that need help all the time and
I am going to try raise some money it mightnot be lots but anything is lots when you
help people.

I found Wigan and Leigh young carers and
the work they do
looks very kind and I hope that even I can
raise just a little bit it will help someone
local. I love to help people and be kind, we have done about children’s mental health
in school and they do lots of good things.

I am aiming to do a big walk, I’m going to do it every day until the end of March. I like to dance and walk so it will keep me fit and
healthy whilst helping people.

Even if I don’t meet my goal I will be super
happy to say I have tried my hardest.

You're a young carer if you're under 18 and help to look after a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or drug or alcohol problem.

If you're a young carer, you probably look after one of your parents or care for a brother or sister. 

You may do extra jobs in and around the home, such as cooking, cleaning or helping someone get dressed and move around. 

You may also give a lot of physical help to a brother or sister who's disabled or ill. 

Along with doing things to help your brother or sister, you may be giving them and your parents emotional support, too.
