Prayers for Paeton and the growing Lynch family

Update from the Fryar/Lynch Family: 6/2/25

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love and support we've received from family, friends, and our incredible hometown. Your prayers, thoughtful messages, generous donations, and positive vibes mean more to us than words can convey. Thank you—truly, from the bottom of our hearts.
Almost three months have passed, and while this journey has been filled with challenges, stress, and pain, it has also been a testament to love, resilience, and the strength of our little family.

As some of you may know, Paeton underwent major brain surgery the day Carver was born due to a significant hematoma caused by a condition known as Moyamoya disease.

So, what is Moyamoya? It is a rare cerebrovascular disorder characterized by the progressive narrowing of the internal carotid arteries, leading to reduced blood flow to the brain. This can result in symptoms like mini-strokes, strokes, headaches, and cognitive difficulties. The term "moyamoya," meaning "puff of smoke" in Japanese, describes the tangled and abnormal blood vessels that form as collateral circulation attempts to compensate for this reduced blood flow. While the exact cause remains unknown, it can affect both children and adults and often requires surgical intervention to improve blood flow and prevent further complications.

Paeton has officially been at Craig Hospital for eight weeks, where she is receiving exceptional care at a world-renowned neurorehabilitation facility. Her progress has been remarkable, thanks to the dedicated team at Craig and the unwavering support of family who have rallied around her, Hadrian, and baby Carver during this extraordinary time.

Hadrian has truly embraced fatherhood in this incredible experience, facing every challenge head-on. He is a devoted dad to Carver and has been an unwavering support for Paeton, embodying the warmth of ‘home’ for our family.

And little Carver—healthy, adorable, and undeniably spoiled! We couldn’t ask for a better support system from Carver's grandparents, and everyone who has a hand in his care and happiness.

Looking ahead for this family, Paeton will undergo another surgery soon to place a synthetic bone where part of her skull was removed, marking another step in what remains a long journey toward healing. We know that there will still be significant financial burdens throughout her recovery, especially with outpatient care needs still unknown. We ask to please continue to support them in any way you can—every contribution helps, and even sharing this message can reach more people who may be able to assist.

Thank you once again for your love and support. We are forever grateful.

_______________
On the morning of March 8th, Paeton had a serious health event while 9 months pregnant. She was taken to the hospital where she delivered a healthy baby boy, Carver, and underwent a life-saving operation. Her condition remains critical, and her path to recovery is uncertain. However, her family remains positive and is asking for your support during this challenging time by sending prayers and positive thoughts. If you’d like to support financially, your contribution will be used to aid in Paeton’s lengthy recovery.

We also want to take a moment to celebrate baby Carver and their growing family. Becoming parents is a transition for any family, and we have started a meal train if you’d like to support their family in that way.

Thank you again for your support, prayers, and kind words. The family is deeply grateful and humbled by your generosity.
