Aid Needed for Rare Muscle Disease Battle

Hi family and friends! I was recently diagnosed with Autoimmune Necrotising Myopathy. This is a rare muscle disease which causes severe muscle weakness and function. Since the diagnosis I’ve had to undergo many tests, a muscle biopsy, and out of town doctor visits. I’ve also been off work since March. I had to trade my car for a higher vehicle for ease of getting in and out of it. Just getting up off a chair or doing simple tasks like combing my hair, changing, and showering have been really difficult to do on my own. Medical bills have piled up already. I am a teacher with only a year and a half left to retire. If I go on disability I will only get a portion of my paycheck. Many have offered their support and help. As I reflected, financial support would be the greatest need right now. If you can contribute any monetary support it would go towards paying off medical bills and also to get any medical treatments I may need that my insurance does not cover.
