Aid My Move and New Nursing Career in Asheville
Don protégé
Hello! I am moving from Texas to Asheville, North Carolina in early July! Hooray!!
I've accepted a good job there that offers free nursing programs/tuition reimbursement programs, I'll get to reunite with best friends, and be able to enjoy a life full of hiking. I'm very excited and it's something that I've been daydreaming about for a long time. However, existing is expensive!!
ANY funds anyone is willing to send my way would be immensely helpful! I am working hard to save up before moving and will be selling what I can. But all donations will help cover a mountain of expenses that include car repairs, essential household items, secondhand furniture, gas, pet fees/supplies, groceries, first months utilities, etc.
I will only be able to move with what I can fit in my car, so I will essentially be starting over from scratch in Asheville. I have a small SUV and will be traveling with 2 cats who will require a set up that is pretty space consuming for our 900 mile drive.
Renting a tiny trailer is more affordable, but is somewhat risky considering I'll be driving through the mountains and my car is from 2006. Rental trucks that can tow my car are both too expensive and unnecessarily large for the amount of items I currently own. I'd love to rent a cargo van or something similar, but those are also too expensive for my very tight budget and requires having an additional driver. I was surprised with a big seizure (no prior history) while traveling in March, so a friend is lovingly refusing to let me drive myself. She will be driving for me- meaning I can pretty much only use one vehicle.
I am planning to get a couple of cargo bags for my car, which will help me store extra items, but I'll still be very limited with what I can bring.
Absolutely anything helps so much. Amazon, Walmart, Visa giftcards are also extremely helpful, and so are any PTO donations. My Venmo and Paypal handles are both @maksalad
Thank you so, so much to anyone and everyone who feels like helping out!! It means more than you even know as it's contributing to a new chapter in my life.
