My name is Mahmoud Al Shaer, and I'm currently residing in Rafah, Southern Gaza Strip, with my wife Hadil and our children Nai and Majd. Our family, like many others, is facing unimaginable challenges due to the ongoing situation in Gaza.

Mahmoud Al Shaer is a distinguished editor, curator, and poet who has been an integral part of the ongoing correspondence seeking a pathway out of the Gaza Strip. His contributions extend beyond the realm of artistic endeavors to the pursuit of safety and opportunities abroad. Amidst these challenges, Mahmoud's signifies not just an artistic pursuit but a quest for safety, freedom, and the promise of a better future, embodying resilience and hope in the face of adversity.

Our city, a place of generational significance for us, has been devastated by recent events. The struggle to find food, and water has been relentless.

The plight of my family mirrors that of many others in Gaza. We are in urgent need of support to ensure our safety. The escalating costs associated with leaving Gaza have presented insurmountable obstacles. We are launching a heartfelt fundraiser to aid the members of my family.
