Aid for Jason's Long Road to Recovery

Hi, I’m Drew, Jason’s daughter. He would never do something like this - but I feel I need to do this to help him out on this long road of recovery he’s going to have. On Thursday evening, we finally convinced my stubborn dad that he has to go to the ER. We arrived and found out right away that he’s septic. He was so so so sick. My annoying, jokester dad was not himself and you could tell in so many ways. Later on, we found out that his shoulder replacement from 2016 was infected and was causing him to be so sick. On Friday, he got transferred to Hershey medical center for further evaluation and treatment. By Saturday morning, he was in emergency surgery for his shoulder. He went back in today for surgery and to determine what the next steps are for his care and we’re still left with no answers other than he now has a drain in place in his shoulder and will go back under anesthesia again tomorrow to have a picc line placed to be able to receive longterm antibiotics. His wife has been taking off work to be by his side and it is not cheap driving back and forth to Hershey Medical Center. I’d like to help them out with Erica not being able to work since she has been by his side since Thursday and we are not really sure of the future outcome, still. All I know is that my dad is so tough and is such a fighter through this all. It is truly breaking my heart to watch my dad be this sick.
