Family House Fire Relief

Donation protected
Around 12:30 AM this morning, a spark caught fire up in the heating ducts of my home, spreading quickly through the ductwork and filling everything with smoke before the roof entirely caught on fire. The ceiling began to collapse, covering everything in debris, but thankfully all of the people - myself and my two children - and our pets had been safely evacuated.  I'd hate to imagine what would have happened if I hadn't noticed the smoke sooner, as a large panel fell directly on top of my young daughter's bed where she had been sleeping.

All of our things that weren't damaged by the fire and falling debris have taken substantial water damage from the attempts to put out the fire, and the smell of smoke refuses to come out of my kid's clothes even after several attempts at washing them.

I've found a new apartment, but need help raising the funds for the initial deposits, and help replacing what has been lost. Precious family memories destroyed in the fire can never be replaced, but we must stay strong and do our best to move on and make new memories.

I need help raising the funds for the initial deposits to move into the new apartment, new school clothes for my kids to replace the ones ruined from the fire and smoke, new furniture, and other household necessities to help us get by in this difficult time after such a devastating night. And so I humbly ask for your help.

An initial goal of $500, while small in the long term, will help immensely in helping my family get situated after this tragedy. The $150 electric deposit and $100 water deposit would be covered, allowing us to get settled into a new home after the loss of our old one, with remaining funds being spent replacing as much as possible so we can get by and move on with our lives as best as possible.

Any small amount of aid you can give will go a long way in helping my family get back on our feet. You have our deepest thanks and appreciation.
