ADDISON’S JOURNEY TO FIGHT BRAIN TUMOR
In September 2018, my beautiful, sassy, adorably funny 10-year-old niece, Addison Kepner was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor that had already caused permanent deafness in one ear. It was INCREDIBLY SCARY.
At the end of October, she underwent her first surgery where the surgeons were only able to remove a small amount of it due to it’s location in her brain.
After many trips back and forth to the hospital that is more than an hour away, her mother, Rachael Kepner was informed that a second surgery was necessary to remove more of it. She underwent her second surgery in March 2019. Once again Addison, who is an absolute fighter, came through it successfully. The surgeons were able to remove more and the thought was then to use radiation to further shrink the tumor.
Unfortunately, the tumor has grown back rapidly and she will be having her third surgery on Friday, May 24, 2019. Asking for donations and prayers. The donations are intended to assist with medical costs, travel expenses, etc. Deeply grateful to everyone who donates!
