Support Ryker

Donation protected
Hello, I am starting a go fund me in hopes to raise enough money to help support my mother, father and sister while in Toronto, supporting my 8 year old brother who is fighting for his life. Here's what happened.
Monday April 6th, around mid afternoon, I had got the worst call of my life. My brother had been in a tragic accident.
It was a normal day for my family to be outside doing yard work, trying to get some fresh air during the covid-19 isolation/lockdown. While my parents were in the side and the front yard doing yard work, they were also having a little fire in the back (completely legal, been doing this for many, many years). As much as we have raised our children around fire safety, sometimes, for whatever reason, they may forget.
Ryker, my 8 year old brother, had gone into the backyard, to the shed and had grabbed a gas can that was put up on a shelf. From there, we are not sure what exactly happened. My parents (along with the whole neighbourhood) hood the huge explosion. My brother had gone up in flames. My parents fought relentlessly to put the fire out but was unsuccessful, and had lived every parents nightmare. The fire was not put out until the fire department had got to the house.
My mother had put her entire body over his trying to put out the fire and had got 3rd degree burns on both arms (left arm is the worst) and both of her legs, leaving her in Hamilton ICU burn Unit. My brother had been flown out by helicopter to Toronto sick kids where he has now had many many MAJOR LIFE THREATHENING surgeries. I capitalized that so you understand the seriousness of the injuries. He also is now on dialysis for kidney failure and his lungs are struggling to let go of the carbon dioxide. Ryker has many many more surgeries to go, and we need all the help, and prayers to help keep him alive.
During this time of COVID-19 we, as a family, are forced to stay out of the hospitals, this also means, the Ronald Mcdonald House has been shut down. My mother, father and sister are trying to find housing as close to sick kids as possible so they can be there, as close to my brother as possible during this time. Please if anyone can help, any donations of any size will be greatly appreciated. Thank you SO much, and I promise, all your help and all your prayers will NOT go unnoticed. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, Rykers other sister, Skylar.
P.S- If you cannot donate through the GoFundMe account and still would like to help out, gift cards for groceries, gas,  etc.. would be greatly appreciated and I would have no problem coming to pick up from wherever you are. Thank you!
UPDATE APRIL 21:  Hello everyone, i thought i would add an update for you all. Ryker was supposed to go into surgery this morning at 8am to have skin taken from his feet and put onto his hands. Unfortunately, the doctors had found a high level of fluid in his lungs and now postponed the surgery until tomorrow morning (april 22). We are desperately praying that the skin from his feet stick and starts growing on its own. As we all know, our body needs skin for us to live. A sample of skin was taken from my brother and sent to Quebec last week. In Quebec, if the skin is healthy they can make it grow and then it can be used to be put back onto his body. Unfortunately, the skin that was sent last week was infected and died. We found out this morning that most of his body is infected and praying that the skin that is being sent back out today to Quebec is not infected and can be used to make more skin for him.
Ryker is in such critical condition and we need all the support, and prayers we can get. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us, donated, prayed and is continuing to pray for my baby brother. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart, my family and myself are beyond grateful.

UPDATE #2, MAY 1ST:  Ryker has had two surgeries in the last couple weeks, putting the skin from his feet and skull onto his hands. Today (May 1st) we were told that the skin has took on his hands and the doctors are really impressed with the success of the surgeries. However, Ryker, still is not in the clear. His lungs are still full of fluid, the doctors are decreasing his sedation medication here and there to try and get him to respond to the doctors when they ask him to cough. This way, if he can cough on his own, the doctors can help suction the fluid from his lungs at the same time. As of right now, there is no improvements with his lungs. Rykers body is covered in infection. We also have NOT heard back from Quebec in regards to the skin sample that was sent their to be grown (if healthy) to be brought back to toronto to be put back onto my brothers body. So far, from the day of the accident (april 6th) to now (may 1st) we have got Ryker stable enough to go without the Dialysis machine (for the kidneys), doctors are looking into removing his breathing tube that goes into his mouth and down his throat in the next week or two, 2 successful surgeries taking the skin from his feet and put onto his hands AND has been able to open his eyes to see his mom, Heather Burbidge, sitting right by his side- and that was made possible from all you amazing people supporting us during this time. Thank you everyone again, i wish i could hug and squeeze each and every one who has helped!  i will post another update in the coming weeks, please keep the prayers coming everyone, Ryker needs them more than ever ! thank you xoxo -Skylar.
