Ahmed Kasem Sadaqa Jariyah Fund

Updated May 3rd, 2021:

bismillah.

alhamdulilah, this charity has exceeded the initial Sadaqa Jariya fundraising goal for the Darul Jannah Mosque renovation and an incredible team of volunteers and workers have been tirelessly working to complete Ahmed’s charity vision for this mosque in time for the end of ramadan.

so many beautiful souls have donated in Ahmed’s (allah yerhamu) name and we, his family, want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts. In an effort to honor Ahmed's memory and provide a continuous form of hasanat (good deeds) for his soul, we would like to donate the additional funds raised in his name as a sadaqa jariyah to primarily local but also international islamic charities and projects that we know Ahmed would have loved to support. we will transparently share this information and proof of the distribution of funds.

with the last ten nights of ramadan upon us, we would like to keep this sadaqa jariyah fund open to continue to build upon his good deeds. if you’d like to donate, please consider donating any amount during these ten nights, perhaps God willing it coincides with Laylatul Qadr and its reward will be increased one thousand-fold (for both you and him!).

Abu Hurairah narrated that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said,

“When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and righteous offspring who will pray for him.” (Muslim)

The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, “The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him.”

Ahmed Kasem returned to Allah on April 21, 2021. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. is known as one of the kindest hearted friend, son,  and brother.

One of his favorite projects was Muslims Giving Back's Project Transform, in which we renovate apartments for families in need. Right before Ramadan 2021, he started working on his own Project Transform with a local masjid (Darul Jannah, 6 Avenue C, Brooklyn, NY 11218) and volunteered his time after work and on the weekends installing new air conditioning units, expanding their backyard to allow more space for worshippers and fixing the women's prayer space..

He LOVED to use his hands and skills to help people, however he could:

He would go to Darul Jannah Mosque after his regular job and put in hours of labor, buying everything himself and doing it for FREE.  He urged his close friend Sal to make sure he helps so they can finish the job before Ramadan as a gift for the community. He is a textbook role model of what a young Muslim should be. Doing the job in secrecy, with his own hands and his own pockets, we are so amazed and inspired by his dedication that we wanted to start a Sadaqa Jariyah Fund to help finish the project he started.

Please donate what you can on his behalf, Zakat is also acceptable.

Below are pictures of him this week (4/18) picking up items and working on his local masjid.

Ahmed was also known for his beautiful Quran voice:
