Help Save Bones!!

A few months ago I found this little kitty under a bench at work. When she was first discovered we thought she was just malnourished, but upon further examination we realized her legs are extremely deformed. the bones in her back legs are basically twisted around, like the joint looks backwards, and are sometimes referred to as "swimmers legs". This makes it very hard for her to get around, and no amount of physical therapy will be able to correct the problem. Appropriately, we started calling her Bones!! Other than carrying all of her weight on her front legs, Bones is a perfectly healthy, happy little kitty. So playful and so sweet, despite being dealt a bad hand in life. We think she deserves the chance to live a normal kitty life, but she needs to see a specialist before we even know if surgery is a possibility. This involves a 2 hour one way trip to a university, either in Champagne or Columbia, MO. The vet estimated about $200 dollars just for the appointment, let alone surgery. We are asking for $500 to start with to cover the previous 2 vet visits & medications (ear mites, fleas, vaccinations, ect.), as well as the first specialist appointment. Working only 25 hours a week & moving into my first apartment last month, money has been extremely tight. I'm in the process of finding a second job, but Bones needs to see someone before she gets too big and starts developing arthritis. I don't think we can afford to wait. I could use all the help I can get, and everything is appreciated immensely. Thanks for reading!!
