After 6 months of constant hospital visits and misdiagnosis, the Arana family was informed that their 39 year old  father, Danny needs to have a heart transplant. This devastating blow came on the tale of their mother’s battle with cancer over the last couple of years. The closest treatment facility to handle this is in Salt Lake City, Utah, 600 miles from home. The process will require him to be there for at least 8 months, putting an overwhelming financial strain on this family. Danny and Dawn leave Sunday to begin the screening and testing process. Danny Arana is a firefighter in Rio Rancho, NM who has recently earned the firefighter of the year award. He is also husband to Dawn and father to their 6 school aged biological children and children of his heart. Danny and Dawn are the type of people that go out of their way to be there when someone needs help. Danny even made it his profession. Let’s give back some of that help.
