My name is Eve and I am 11. On 9th June I will begin a 111 km walk to raise funds for a small charity my Aunt and Uncle run in The Philippines called "Star Apple Foundation"
My aunt was saying that two schools in a city near them had no books at all. I decided to try to get money to make two small libraries so the children had books to read.
All expenses I will need for my walk will be covered by my Mum and Dad and my Uncle will provide the wood and labour to build the shelves so that 100% of the money raised can go to buying books.
Background Information:
Star Apple Foundation has also built 180 houses for disadvantaged families and those whose houses were blown down in Typhoon Yolanda and they run a "Stop Malnutrition" program in several places including a dumpsite where many of the children in these two schools live.
