Agae's European Exposure Tour 2018

Spende geschützt
Hi family and friends! Since graduating from Elon University this past May, my future plans have been a mix of wanting to accomplish all of my goals at the same time.  In the beginning I was thinking about pursuing my last year of NCAA eligibility to play beach volleyball, then I was considering starting the long journey of becoming a professional beach player while having one to two jobs, but I found myself going back home to the west and deciding to pursue my life long dream of becoming a professional indoor volleyball player.  My relationship with this sport began when I was six years old.  Not wanting to be left behind by my sisters, since they went from basketball to volleyball, I decided that I needed to change as well.  From there what began as a hobby to stay active soon turned into an obsession and a dream.  This occurred when my sister Marilyn and I "high jacked" our older sister's, Rebecca,  club volleyball tryout.  From there I have been given the opportunity from my parents and coaches to continue to become a better player and human being in order to improve my skills.
The summer before my senior year in high school I decided to go on an unofficial visit to Elon University by attending their summer volleyball camp.  The camp was to meet the coaching staff, view the campus, and determine if the school would be the perfect fit for me.  At the end of the camp my father joined me to go talk with the head coach, Mary Tendler.  When I was told by Coach Mary that they were offering me a scholarship to play collegiate volleyball at a D1 program, I was beyond thrilled. I was given about a week to think and sleep on this opportunity which was a blessing because right after the meeting my dad and I flew to Iowa for the USA High Performance tournament because I was on the USA Continental Team.  I verbally committed to Elon University at the end of the week and from that moment on I was more focused than I ever was with volleyball.

Since accepting Coach Mary's offer, I attended another USA High Performance tournament in Ft. Lauderdale the summer before my freshman year of college.  Funny enough I ended up meeting and playing with my soon-to-be teammate and roommate Morgan Maner.  After this experience with High Performance, I started to learn the game at a higher level which layed the platform for the next four years that I was at Elon.  Throughout my time at Elon I had small and large goals for the team and for myself.  The goal and dream that stayed with me throughout my collegiate career was to become a professional athlete.
I have the opportunity to pursue that dream by attending the European Exposure Tour from January 6-16, 2018 which takes place in Slovenia, Austria, and Italy.  The tour consists of ten days of traveling, competing, and ultimately at the end receiving a contract to become a part of a teams program.
In order to attend these tryouts I need your help family and friends! The cost of the tour is $1,800 + airfare.  The $1,800 for the tour includes breakfast and dinner daily, all hotels, ground transportation costs, and volleyball activities.  And so my goal is to raise at least $6,000 in order to cover the tour cost and the flight to and back from Europe.
I can't thank you enough for taking the time to read this message.  Please share this if you have the chance and any amount that you can donate would be appreciated! Thank you so much!
