Afrocentric Healing Circles for Women of Color
Tax deductible
The Sistahood with HC Black Music and Arts Association is raising money to benefit Afrocentric and Women of Color. This platform leans in and lifts up Sistahs who want to enhance their leadership while building healthy relationships. The Sistahood believes in centralizing and supporting narratives from women of color across the United States experiencing broken identity, racial trauma, generational trauma, domestic violence, grief, bereavement, anxiety/depression from cultural genocide and systemic environmental and structural problems. The WIS Sisterhood circle empowers individuals to reclaim their identity. Sistah connection is restorative care for the mind, body and spirit.
Your donation will help make an impact. Your contribution will support the yearly Sistahood retreat that involves leadership training. It will also allow the Sistahood to partake in healing practices to reclaim identity, purpose and wellness. Your donation gift will allow Sistahs who may struggle with transportation or housing to receive a scholarship to attend the Women in Spirit Sistahood Retreat.
For those considering sponsoring a Sistah's membership in the Women of Spirit Sisterhood email [email redacted] and the name of the Sistah you are gifting. Membership is 30 dollars annually for the year.
More information: HC Black Music and Arts (HCBMAA) is a Dreamaker with Ink People: The Ink People have changed people's lives since 1979 by connecting the community with resources for cultural development. We encourage people to exercise their humanity, build civic discourse, and engage their creative potential. We are a community-based, grassroots, artist-run, arts and culture organization. We know that young people are the future and are incredibly challenging by today's world, so we try to give them the tools to build successful and fulfilling lives.
