Support the African Women's Leadership Project

The vision of the Africa Leadership Transformation (ALT) Foundation is “leadership transformation as the key to an Africa that works for everyone.” For millions of African women, a lot of things don’t work. While a lot of things need to be done, we assert that getting things to work is “an inside job.”
The Africa Women Leadership and Mental Wellbeing Course (AWLC) seeks to put women in charge of their lives by transforming their personal leadership, in their careers and communities. Over 800 women from more than 25 African countries have done the course.
The next course starts in July 2023 and we are providing you with an opportunity to sponsor an African woman. The course costs US$300 per woman to run, but we offer it for a registration fee of US$25 in recognition of the financial challenges many African women face. For example, during the last course, we had 40 women from Kibera in Kenya -the biggest urban slum in Africa and Nakivale refugee camps in Uganda.
Any donation is welcome.

Here are just three of hundreds of testimonials:
"I joined in a low spirit, sad, bitter, resentful and depressed. Now, I am happier than I was, forgiving others and myself easily, grateful for life and my spirit is uplifted. I am not there yet, but I know I will stand firmly again with time. Once again, thanks to everyone who made this meeting possible."
"This has been an eye-opening and great learning experience for me. Meeting so many great women from all corners of the world, listening and sharing in their experience and getting strength from each other to move forward with hope."
"I am also grateful to all the ladies I met in the breakout sessions for being open without judgment and for sharing and listening to every one of our life experiences. This helped us view things through a different lens that opened a pathway for forgiveness and healing."
