Africa Rising: Equip 18 Storytellers to Transform the World
As the global spotlight turns toward Africa through the "YWAM GO" initiative, our School of Digital Filmmaking (SDF) begins May 14th, 2026, to empower a new generation of inspired Christian filmmakers. We have the vision and experienced film mentors, but our students, passionate pioneers from developing nations, face a mountain they cannot climb alone: the cost of training.
The Vision: 18 African Filmmakers
We are preparing 18 students to use their lenses to impact society. These are
not just "students"; they are:
- Survivors & Overcomers: Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Nigeria and Uganda seeking to give a voice to the voiceless.
- Pioneers: An Egyptian student training young Arab Christians to share the Gospel through film.
- Frontier Workers: Missionaries ready to reach the unreached through the media.
- Legacy Carriers: Missionary kids trading the pulpit for a camera.
These students are joining us from South Africa, Nigeria, Togo, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Egypt, Bangladesh, and India. Currently, only three have their complete school fees; the rest are stepping out in total faith, trusting God for a breakthrough.
The Urgent Need: Our Financial Goal
Our staff and students are trusting God for resources to make this school a reality. This includes tuition, travel for our international staff (from Nigeria, Kenya, and a French-speaking translator from the DRC), and the critical equipment needed to teach professional filmmaking.
How You Can Help
1. Donate Toward Scholarships & Staff
Every gift goes directly toward student tuition and the travel costs for our leaders who are currently without support. Your investment equips a missionary to return to their home nation as a professional storyteller.
2. Advocate
Share this vision with your church or community. Help us find the "missing link" between these storytellers and their mission field.
A Note from the School Leader
This isn't just about making movies; it’s about equipping those with the "heart of the continent" to tell the stories that spark salvation, justice, and hope. This is the time for Africa to rise globally, and these students are eager to be the change-makers the world is waiting for.
Will you stand with us to transform the narrative of a continent?
