Lola's Celebration of Life

Donation protected
Our dearest Mansueta Salon is now resting peacefully in God's presence. She was a devout believer of God's word, a wonderful wife, the loving mother of twelve beautiful children, and an amazing friend to many. Beyond that, Mansueta had an extraordinary spirit. She found joy in the most simple activities and happiness in connecting with loved ones. She was always pleasant to be around, and easy to please.

On the morning of Lola's 83rd Birthday, she was as happy as can be! Her laughter was heard throughout the house as she was excitedly answering phone calls, video chats, and messages from loved ones wishing her Happy Birthday. She was visited by close friends the day before and enjoyed food, laughter, and great time spent with companions. Lola loved celebrations and was so strong, sharp, and active even in her older years. She made it to 83 years of life and her joy was overflowing!

As her birthday continued to unfold, Lola noticed she was feeling light-headed. Aunt Jenny and Lolo checked her blood pressure then decided to call the paramedics right away. They discovered Lola had a stroke. Over the next twelve days, the doctors did everything in their power to keep Lola with us but at some point, it was realized she could only continue on through life support. Out of respect for Lola - Lolo, and Aunt Jenny honored Lola's request to transition naturally.

Aunt Jenny writes:
"Our Heavenly Father has allowed our dearest Mother to rest 9/25 @ 12:15 p.m. peacefully after I told her "Mama we love you and we can never compensate the love you gave us, the never-ending unconditional love for your 12 children. We're so thankful and blessed to have you as our beloved mother. I know it was not easy for you to hang on for 11 days in Nuero-ICU (Advent Health Hosp, Orlando, FL) but you did; to give us time to accept slowly that you're leaving us to be in God's arms. Still, it's hard for all of us esp for Papa who loved and pampered you for 63 yrs. I know you're tired and if it is God's will for you to rest now, it's ok, mama. Don't worry about Papa and us. We'll be okay because there's hope with God. Mama, when you open your eyes, you'll see Jesus' face. We'll remain faithful to God till the end because we want to see you there. It will not be long "; followed by her last breath."

In Lola's last moments, she was surrounded by the comfort of friends, the warmth of family, and the care of loved ones. Together, we will be having a Memorial service on October 4, 2020 to celebrate the beautiful life of Mansueta Salon. I created this fundraiser on behalf of Lolo, and Aunt Jenny to help cover the costs of the service. We ask that you please give what you can comfortably. We will appreciate anything you can contribute, and are eternally grateful to have such a supportive community in our lives. Even if you are not in a position to donate monetarily, we are grateful for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers during this time.

Thank you for being part of Lola's life. The love you poured into her is a testament to the wonderful person she was.

Lola, you have left a beautiful impression on every person you crossed paths with. We will always remember your vibrant spirit, warm laughter, and kind heart. We love you Lola.

Until we meet again..

'Lola's Poem'

Every time I see you smile
It makes me happy for a while
Every time I hear you speak
Wisdom is what I recieve
Time is fleeting, this is true
But I enjoyed my time with you
Even though you're back with God
You're in our hearts, our sweet Lola
