Afghanistan Girl's School Library

Hi there!! We are a group of US Soldiers serving in Afghanistan and we've been working closely with two girls-only schools in the local area. Both "schools" were no more than mud huts and open courtyards where more than 3,000 girls between the ages of 6 and 16 were attempting to get an education. We've done incredible things in the last 7 months and we've fought hard to give these girls a fighting chance! We build 5 hardened structures for classrooms, brought in over 250 tables and chairs, installed bathrooms and running water, and purchased white boards for all the rooms in the schools. We also have started work on a playground. USAID Humanitarian Aide funds, and donations from our own Soldiers have covered the cost of everything so far. Our final hope was to give each school a library or atleast a collection of books they can share and enjoy. We've started an Amazon wish list of approved books for children and young adults. http://a.co/5udBn4y Any funds donated will be used to buy books, shelving and some posters for the walls to encourage them in thier journey! Thank you so much!!!!
