Afghanistan Floods Appeal

As of 5th of March 2019, 9 Afghan provinces have been affected by heavy rains and flooding. Scores of people are known to have died, and hundreds of others have been injured or missing. More than 2,500 houses have been damaged so far, and over 1,300 destroyed.
Flood affected people are in need of emergency shelter, warm clothing, food and hygiene kits. In addition, 32 mosques, 11 schools as well as shops and water supply systems and other infrastructure are damaged. Reports suggest that 85% of Farah city has been flooded and the majority of roads are closed, hampering movement throughout the city.
ASSOCIATION OF AFGHAN HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS-UK is putting together an aid package, which will be delivered to the area with help of our regional partners who are already reaches the affected area.
