Marcelo Acentares

We are very saddened by the passing of Marcelo Acentares, loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He left to be with the Lord on February 2, 2018 after a painful battle with cancer. He will be sorely missed, and the emptiness he leaves behind could never be filled. Marcelo led a good life, always with his faith in God, a sweet and calm disposition, and a desire to set the example for others. He had incredible patience, intelligence, and a great sense of humor. He loved the company of others, and his friends and family remember him by his kindness. He would often welcome friends and family into his home and generously offered the best Argentinian "asados" or rounds of "mate." A man of faith, he was trustworthy, and his integrity was seen in everything he did, including in his business as an electrician. He was born in Livingston, New Jersey on July 17, 1974. Marcelo grew up in Argentina from the time he was 7 years old and attended Centro Cristiano de Cuyo church with his family in Dorrego, Mendoza. Friends from the church remember him as a caring man, whose faith in God was strong and never ending. Immigrating to California, USA with his mother, sisters, and brother-in-law in 1995, Marcelo soon after met his loving wife, Erica and after their marriage in 2000, they went on to have two beautiful children, Lucas and Giselle. Marcelo loved his family and enjoyed travelling in their RV, camping, and spending time in nature. We hope that the funds raised through this means will help cover his funeral costs without unnecessary burden to his wife and children.

Estamos muy tristes por la pérdida de Marcelo Acentares, un esposo, padre, hijo, hermano, y amigo muy querido. Se fue para estar con el Señor el 2 de Febrero del 2018 después de una batalla dolorosa con cáncer. Lo vamos a extrañar mucho, y el vacío que deja nunca podrá ser llenado. Marcelo llevo una buena vida, siempre con su fe en Dios, una disposición calma y dulce, y un deseo de dar un buen ejemplo a otros. Tenía una paciencia increíble, inteligencia, y un gran sentido del humor. Le encantaba la compañía de otros, y sus amigos y familiares lo recuerdan como una persona amable. Frequentemente, invitaba a amigos y familiares a su casa y generosamente ofrecía los mejores asados argentinos o una buena ronda de mates. Un hombre de fe, el era confiable, y su integridad se veía en todo lo que hacia, incluyendo en sus negocios como electricista.
Nació en Livingston, New Jersey el 17 de Julio del 1974. Marcelo creció en Argentina desde sus 7 años, y asistía a la iglesia Centro Cristiano de Cuyo en Dorrego, Mendoza con su familia. Amigos de la iglesia lo recuerdan como un hombre que se preocupaba por otros, cuya fe en Dios era fuerte y sin límite. Inmigrando a California, USA con su madre, hermanas, y cuñado en 1995, Marcelo pronto conoció a su esposa, Erica con quien después de su casamiento en 2000, tuvieron dos hermosos hijos, Lucas y Giselle. Marcelo amaba a su familia y disfrutaba viajar en su RV, ir de camping, y pasar tiempo en la naturaleza.
Esperamos que los fondos recaudados a traves de este medio puedan ayudar a cubrir los costos de su funeral para evitar crear una carga para su esposa e hijos.
