More than anything else, Tilly loves adventuring. Our sweet, magical puppy has developed back problems, common with dachshunds, preventing her from full use of her hind legs, and she needs surgery to get back on the adventure trail.
Our hope was to get her rehabilitated without surgery, but her function and ability to walk are getting slowly worse and surgery is now our only option and becoming more emergent. We had budgeted for a surgery, but unfortunately not nearly enough. Our initial estimates from the vet are $6000-8000 for the MRI and surgery needed, so we’re asking for some of the difference between what we were able to budget and the expensive reality.
She has comforted and supported us through some of our most challenging moments and we want to do the same for her. We need a little help to get our girl back to doing what she loves most — chasing squirrels and climbing mountains.
