Video Short about Adventure Play

This campaign is to raise funds for a video short about Adventure Play at The Parish School, made by filmmaker, Erin Davis.
The funds will be used to pay her for her time filming on site, for travel, and for editing. She will be on Adventure Play, March 5-8.
Most of you know how wonderful and unique this program is, but it can be difficult to describe a child-made play space to others who have not visited.
There is something very special about a place that belongs to children, where they can explore, make as much noise and mess as they need to, figure out what their strengths are and spend time with peers on their own terms. We know they challenge themselves in extraordinary ways when adults step back, but all of this is difficult to illustrate in photos or with words. Erin has experience filming adventure playgrounds (having taped at The Land in Wales and Ithaca Children's Garden in upstate New York) and we trust that her work will do justice to the playground, while representing the voices and strengths of the children beautifully.
Your gift will contribute to Erin's time, and will show your support for children's right to run freely through the grass, climb to the top of a tire tower, dig moats and rivers through the sand, to build forts, create secret codes, to fight monsters with homemade swords, and to know themselves and their peers better through the process.
-Donors of $50 and up will receive a thank you gift of a printed photo from AP (current AP families will receive one that includes your child)
-Donors of $100 or more will be invited to a preview screening and party celebrating the video short.*
-Donors of $500 and higher will be gifted a "piece of AP," meaning we will follow an item (piece of wood, fabric, or other object) and document it for a month, sending weekly updates of how the loose part is being used by children. *
-Donors of $1000 or more will get to have a Friday afternoon of play on AP, staffed by AP playworkers, for themselves and up to 10 friends. AND a thank you in the film's credits.*
*At each level, you will receive the gifts in the prior levels as well. <3
In the event that the funds to cover the filming are exceeded, we will use your donation for Adventure Play, where it will do the most good.
