Adrian's fight against Leukemia

On 5/23/17 I received the terrifying news that no parent would ever want to hear. My son, Adrian was diagnosed with High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, an aggressive form of cancer that starts at the bone marrow and quickly spreads into the blood. Our main focus now is not "why" but "when" he can look back and know he has overcame this battle against cancer.
Adrian, my once super energetic, funny and silly boy is now lethargic and will face a long road to recovery of 3 years and 3 months. His daily routine will now include intensive sessions of chemotherapy and taking dozens of pills daily. Treatment will include weekly visits and week long stays at Valley Children's Hospital that consist of blood draws, lumbar punctures with intrathecal Chemo, bone marrow biopsies and blood transfusions as he is constantly Anemic. A common cold can be life threatening to Adrian as he is going on his 12th day stay at the hospital with spiking high fevers of 104. He is weak, and in major discomfort due to the adverse reactions of chemo.
Adrians treatment requires a substantial amount of emotional strength and financial resources. This will envolve specially prepared meals, staying in a relatively germ free environment, no public contact, no school and no runs to the store or sporadic trips anywhere due to his compromised immune system.
I am humbled to reach out for help during this difficult time to help ease the overwhelming costs associated with Adrian's care and treatment.
