Adrianne Gerlach's Memorial Fund

Donation protected
On Sunday, September 3, 2017, Adrianne Gerlach passed away unexpectedly at home at the young age of 22. She suffered from hydrocephalus. Adrianne's mother, Susan Gerlach, and her son are traumatized and devastated by her sudden death.

As a single mother with no immediate family willing or able to help cover the costs of the funeral, Susan is sadly also now having to worry about the financial burden on top of grieving. The $13K covers costs for a basic service (not including viewing): $6000 for cremation and memorial service, and $6000 for mausoleum plaque and space plus $1050 for GoFundMe fees.

Please help so Susan is able to hold a proper memorial service that honors Adrianne. Any donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.  Susan's longtime friend, DeeDee Armstrong, paid for the full amount of the funeral so donations will go directly to DeeDee to reimburse her.

Any additional donations raised beyond $13K will go towards a scholarship in Adrianne's honor at Hydro Angels of America. The organization supports, educates, and expands research on behalf of the hydrocephalus community including giving scholarships to high school seniors with hydrocephalus, which Adrianne was a recipent of her senior year.

Adrianne was an incredibly talented western wildlife artist and published contributor to Inkling Magazine. Some of her paintings were auctioned off and the money went to organizations helping abused animals.

Adrianne loved animals, especially horses, and rode hunter/jumper.  Her love of animals was also relfected through her volunteer work with numerous organizations including Operation Pets Alive and Montgomery County Animal Shelter.

Above all else, Adrianne was a Christian and did volunteer and mission work both at her church and school. To read more about her commitment to community service and efforts to help abused animals, click here .
