ADHD Autism assessment fundraiser!

Why is this important?

Did you know an estimated 80% of females with autism go undetected!? People with undiagnosed ADHD and Autism are at risk of significant mental health challenges, and inadequate treatment. If someone is neurodivergent and does not know or does not have a diagnosis, they cannot stand up for their needs and rights. This makes them vulnerable to significant mental health difficulties and worsening disability. People with undiagnosed ADHD and Autism go on to receive inappropriate care in all settings and do not even know that they have different needs!

Why is a fundraiser neeeded?

Neurodivergent people are entitled to supports. However, current wait times for assessment are up to 2 years and can cost up to $3,000. This in inaccessible for so many people.

What am I doing to help?

I am running a fundraiser to fund adult ADHD/Autism assessments for people in Australia. I will do discounted assessments for people who would not otherwise be able to access one. This includes the full assessment process, feedback, report, and documentation for NDIS if eligible. Eligible participants will be identified through networks on a first comes first serves basis. I will also take suggestions for participants.

So, we are just giving you money to do work?

NO! There are so many people that are waiting for an assessment, I do not NEED to run a fundraiser to get work. I am doing assessments for less than what I would normally change.

How much will you charge then for each assessment?

Assessments range from $1200-$3000. I will do all assessments funded through this fundraiser for $800.

Why don't you just do the assessments for free then?

Because I need to pay for the assessment materials, costs associated with my registration that allows me to be qualified to do this work, and the assessments take significant time and work to complete. I have more than 12 years experience studying and working in field of psychology in order to be qualified to do this. As much as I would love to help as many people as possible, it's just not financially feasible to work for free and this is not fair to me. That is why I will do assessments for the lowest feasible price - and a lot of this WILL be me working for free anyway.

But I already donated?

I previously had the assessment funds in Paypal but I pooled these into the GoFundMe as people were having issues accessing it!
