Adelante Student Voices 5th Year Anniversary

2020 is the year of Adelante Student Voices’ FIFTH 10-day summer overnight programfor undocumented students. Adelante was founded with the goal of supporting undocumented students in upstate New York on their unique journeys to higher education, while simultaneously building their self-advocacy so that they can increase educational opportunities and advance social justice within their communities. The program informs them about opportunities for higher education by implementing a series of workshops, panel discussions, college tours, and one-on-one sessions that develop a personalized plan of action to ensure their success.
Many of our students have been accepted to and are currently attending college. We are pleased to have awarded a total of NINE scholarships for $1,000 each to Adelante Student Voices members in 2018 and 2019! We need your help to raise funds for scholarships again, and set up a sustainable fund for the future. These scholarships have the potential to relieve some of the unique financial burdens that undocumented students and their families face.
Did you know that undocumented students cannot legally receive federally funded financial aid, such as grants, loans, or work-study money?
Your donations of $50, $20 and even $5 will make a difference. No matter how much you give, every little bit counts!
