Years ago, we had a dream to create The Virginia Beach Sports Academy . In the last two years, with the support of our admiral family, friends, and community, we have been able to make our dream a reality that we are proud of.
Even throughout the pandemic, our students have always been our first priority. We have created a program that allows growth not only academically and athletically, but perhaps most importantly: we have a created a program that builds a strong character . We believe it is our generation’s responsibility to build independent, resilient individuals that can one day make the future even brighter because of the guidance that they have received as young adults.
As many of you know, we have recently been faced with some sudden obstacles that have been difficult to overcome financially. However, we have been successful thus far at approaching challenges head on and keeping our students in mind as our motivation, drive, and focus; we hope to be able to continue to do so. This is why right now, we’re setting our pride aside and asking for your support.
Now more than ever, we need the admiral family, friends, and community to come together to support us and share this plea with others to do the same. We need you to help us give these students the school that we have strived to create, and more importantly: the school year that they deserve. We believe in the future of this school and know that we can push it to its dreamed potential and be able to give back to our community, to create scholarships and educational foundations, and to support children in obtaining the educational opportunities that they deserve.
The initial funds from this will be used for building construction and temporary housing while the construction is taking place. Beyond that, funding will be used to support the students in anyway possible to improve their experience at the school.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your continued understanding, support, and kind words that give us the motivation to push forward. We look forward to being able to share our dream with you, our current and future students, and our incredible community.
