Artist with disabilities earn 42% less than able bodied artist, so lets make this change.

With the growing circus community embracing adaptive arts programs around the world, the need for more support in Australia is required in order for it to be successful. The goal is to help disabled people who are interested in circus or aerial gain experience, skills and encouragement to create an arts practice for themselves and provide tools to take into the world of performing arts and to a successful career. 

Who better to teach this than a disabled artist.

Lauren Watson Aerial is a freelance aerialist who's mission is to create experiences for people with disabilities or limitations who wish to try this wonderful practice in a safe and inclusive environment. The future of this goal is to have circus and aerial artist with disabilities teaching and supporting other adaptive artist creating more opportunities and mentoring in the community.

The aim is to reach $5000 which will support this project for a period of 3 years in venue hire, paid staff and any equipment modifications. 

Your money will go towards paying:

Space Hire at Hapy Studio, Currumin or other studios suitable for the individual @ $60 an hour - $2400

Equipment or modifications / wear and tear of silk fabric, tape, rosin and chalk - $600

Extra staff for spotting and assistance when required @ $50 an hour $2000
