Adam's Ceiling Lift Fund

Hello,
My name is Adam, I am 30 years old and I have a very rare disease called Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva which you can read more about at http://www.ifopa.org. I am opening this funding page in hopes of funding, or helping fund a ceiling lift for my home to not only make my life and transferring incredibly easier but to also help those who care for me on a daily basis.
A few years ago I suffered a fall which broke my arm up near the shoulder and left a giant scar on my head from where my head split open. With my disease, any bump or even minor trauma can cause a flare up and lock up the joints in that area and even though my arm was already locked, the fall had an impact on it and has changed my life permanently. Before the fall I could still transfer in and out of bed to my wheelchair on my own but I have lost all of my strength in both my arms and legs and can no longer do so. As of right now I rely on my mother and the help of a lift to get me in and out of bed.
It's very important that I get in bed not only to rest and give my body a break but after my fall I also developed a wound on my foot I have been battling for over 3 years now. It was caused by not being able to transfer at all after I fell due to not even having a lift at the time. I had to stay in my chair for 3 months straight and my foot ballooned so much I thought it would split open. Since it appeared, it's only gotten worse and it's important to keep my foot elivated to help the healing proccess.
The lift I currently have is on wheels and does not work with my new wheelchair. My new chair was finalized shortly after we got my current lift and upon seeing it doesn't work, we asked for a refund to get a ceiling lift instead. The company we bought it from said that even though it was a brand new lift that was barely used, they would not refund it. We tried telling them why it wouldn't work but they continued to deny the refund so to get a ceiling lift we would need to pay out of pocket as you're only allowed funding for a lift once per lifeime. The reasons the lift I have does not work for me is because the legs of the lift will not fit under my new chair. If the legs can't fit under my chair then I can't transfer as we can't get the lift over me.
As I said before, I need a lift to help me as it's the only way I can get in and out of bed. Not only that but I can't stand to use the bathroom so I need a lift to assist me with that too, which is also impossible with my new chair and this current lift. My life is much harder than it needs to be right now and it could be made much easier if I could afford a ceiling lift.
So I am opening this GoFundMe campaign in hopes that I can raise enough to get a ceiling lift and make some aspects of my life much less challenging. Any bit helps and I can assure you it's not only appreciated by me but all who assist me with what this lift would allow me to do.
