Adam's Recovery from Brain Surgery

Adam DeCoste is a husband to Amanda, and a father to 3 boys; Dominic, Declan and Luke. He is very close with his family and friends. He works as a Surgical First Assistant for Barrington Orthopedics. On February 23, 2018, he will undergo a brain surgery at MD Anderson Clinic in Texas to remove a tumor from his brainstem. His doctor is optimistic that Adam will make a full recovery, but Adam will have a long road ahead of him in his recovery.
The Background
Adam suffers from a rare disease called Von-Hippel Lindau, otherwise known as VHL. It is a disorder that causes tumors throughout various parts of the body. In the past, he has overcome pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, spinal cord surgery and eye surgery. Most recently, he was diagnosed with a brainstem tumor that has affected his ability to work and enjoy a normal active lifestyle. After multiple consults with various neurosurgeons in the surrounding area, Adam ended up at MD Anderson Clinic in Texas with one of the top neurosurgeons in the nation. Although the surgery will take place in the most critical area of the brain, his surgeon expects a successful operation. Due to the nature of the surgery and recovery, Adam will be out of work for several months.
The Costs
We are asking for your help in the form of monetary donations in order to help Adam and his family cover the high medical expenses involved in this procedure, travel expenses, and hospital bills. Donations will help to relieve stress of everyday living expenses for his wife and children while he is unable to work including; insurance premiums, transportation, food, and bills.
