We are writing this letter to let you know that Adam Keegan Horricks has passed away last Thursday. He had been battling severe depression and crippling anxiety for most of his life. He was a passionate friend and father who loves to share his time with the ones he held dear. He was quite fond of many
passions in his life which included reading, movies, he also loved sharing new music, obscure movies, and having deep philosophical conversations. He and his brother Jordan had an unrivaled passion for
playing video games together, They also enjoyed reading sci-fi novels. Adam had a unique sense of humor. He always called himself the "black sheep" of the family. Arguably, due to his ever-ridiculous
shenanigans (evidence of which will adorn the walls of our home for years to come). His spouse, Kassandra taught him many skills in life and was always there to aid him through his endeavors. He knew her to be a great mom and caring individual. He also very much respected how she cared for animals. He was a father to a beautiful young girl (Arya Horricks), he spent much of his time fathering
her and experiencing the milestones she has achieved over the course of her life. Arya and her father Adam shared a beautiful life together and they were inseparable. Adam has been a dear friend to many
people in his life and has touched many souls throughout his life. We are absolutely devastating by what has happened and he will be missed by all.
Adam would of wanted mental illness to be viewed as a real illness-not as something you just get over. He would also want us to express his advocacy for the right of those suffering from severe chronic mental illness, like himself, to die peacefully on their own terms. Adam has suffered for quite some time
since the passing of his father (John Horricks). May he rest in peace with him. We will all love him always and forever more.
We, the friends and family are so graciously asking for donations of any sorts to help aid Adams funeral as well as anything extra proceeds will be donated towards Arya's Registered Education Savings Plan, so
she can have a secured future for herself. At this given time, the estimated cost in order to pay for expenses for the funeral shouldn’t exceed $10,000. Please consider donating if you are able to do so.
