Kevin and Stephanie's Mission House

God transformed my life through an amazing gift of the Mission House and I want to give back!

Many of you know my story, but for those who don't, my testimony will follow. The purpose of this letter is to raise funds for my wife Stephanie and I to complete a 12 to 18 month internship at the Mission House under the mentorship of the directors Lyle and Megan Skillman. Our greatest need is for monthly monetary donations during the internship for living expenses as I would have to leave my job to pursue and answer the Lord's call. We humbly ask for your partnership. A one time donation would also be greatly appreciated, but most of all we need your prayers! I invite you to visit the Mission House website at faithmissionhouse.org to read testimonies and gain more knowledge of the program.

As for my story, I arrived at the Mission House in Port Orchard, WA in April of 2012, It was here that I fell in love with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I came to the program at a time when I was at the end of my rope and battling a fourteen year drug addiction. While living in Phoenix, AZ I attended several churches but hadn't been ready to surrender my life. At the end of a four day drug binge I finally cried out to the Lord on my knees with tears in my eyes, completely broken. I was clutching a prayer card in my hand, it was the serenity prayer, which had been given to me during one of my feeble attempts to get clean at a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. With hopes that the Lord would hear my prayers, I begged Him for help and said “I don't want to live this way anymore! God I need You!” It was at that moment bright rays of light filled the dark room and calming warmth gently soothed me. The Holy Spirit had come to me. The Lord heard my cry of desperation! The Spirit moved me to ask my parents for help. Within a week I was headed to Washington to enter the Mission House, which is a 6 month program for men to be transformed from sinful behavior to followers of Christ.

Since the Lord has broken my chains, I am a new creature in Christ! I am washed by the blood of the Lamb! The Mission House was a vessel in which God used to pull me out of the fiery pit. The director showed me how to study and follow God's word and allow Jesus to change my life. I learned how to serve the King with all of my heart, soul, and mind. A life that was once lost and broken has been restored for God's glory. The relationships that were ruined due to my sinful ways have now been graciously restored. I am now married to my beautiful wife Stephanie and we are expecting a baby girl in July. I am also currently employed at Legacy Telecommunications, whose first priority is to serve the Lord: What a blessing!

I share this story as a testimony of the loving mercy and grace our Lord gives us when we surrender our lives to the Almighty. I can't deny the overwhelming call God has on my life to help men who are suffering, as I did, to find hope in Jesus.

If you would like to support us, we would be eternally grateful.  You can use this website to send your monthly donation directly to us.

If you would like to contact us we would love to hear from you and to answer any questions you may have.  Our contact information will follow.

We are excited for this new season and eager to see how God will provide as He leads us onward!

In Christ's love,
