Hello my dear friends! My name is Alice.
Like from the book "Alice in Wonderland". And like in a book I'm also living in an imaginary world, where I have no pain, no seizures, where I can eat and drink with my mouth, the world where I can Control my body , where I can hug my mom and tell her, how much I love her ! But sadly this all possible only in mine and my mom's imaginary world (I'm pretty sure that my mom has the same dreams). In my real world I have BPAN syndrome.. this is a super rear genetic condition that slowly kills my brain cells, by covering them with iron .. there is No cure, no treatment.. only suffering and hope ..
Every day my mobility is getting worse and worse, and I'm stuck in a wheelchair more and more. This is hard for me and my family (my younger sister Adeline and my mom Anastasia) . I know my mom is trying everything she can to keep my mobility for as long as possible, and I'm trying to do my best, but sadly we are loosing this fight.. fight between life and death..
My Weight now over 20 kg (I'm 6 years old and I’m growing) and my mom's weight is 46 kg.. so I am a pretty Heavy girl for my mom to carry me (she keeps having to do it every day) . My wheelchair is even heavier than me , it is 35kg.
My mom is driving mini SUV. It is nice cozy car.. but it is impossible to put my wheelchair and me at this car at same time .. and I can't go without my wheelchair.. so as you can see I mostly staying home .. same as my mom and my sister. We are only able to go to the hospital (witch we are going fairly often) , because they provide kids wheelchairs there. But again, my mom needs to carry me in her arms until we will find one . Plus at the same time watch my sister and make sure she is staying next to us and safe(and she have loooots of energy).
My mom would love to have an accessible vehicle, so I can stay in my cozy wheelchair in this vehicle and I will be safe and my mom will have less back pain(witch is getting so much worse) . So I will be able to see more of this gorgeous Alberta (not just inside of our home ) . But we are not able to afford it .. and as you know this vehicle is expensive, specially accessible one.
The Price for this kind of vehicle is between $40000-70000.
Of course my mom will trade in her car , but I'm afraid it will not be much, because after deer collision (june 11 2020) her car isn’t worth much..(yeah, my mom still suffering from bad back pain after this bad car incident)
Now we have no other options but to ask everyone around for help.. it is so hard to ask , but we have no choice now..
