Access for all! Laptops for La Retraite students

Join us in making a difference!

We're raising money in aid of La Retraite Charitable Fund to purchase much needed laptops for our students and every donation will help.

 At over nine tenths, the proportion of students from minority ethnic groups at La Retraite is high. The majority are of Black African, Black Caribbean or White European backgrounds, with other heritages represented in smaller numbers.

The proportion of students for whom the school receives the pupil premium has doubled over the last two years, and at around two in five, which is above the national average. 

One in eight students is disabled or has special educational needs supported through school action plus or with a statement of special educational needs, which is high. The proportion supported through school action, at over one in ten, is in line with the national average. 

Our teachers are working very hard to provide top quality virtual education for our students, unfortunately not all students are in a position to access a laptop with some students sharing with siblings.

We at La Retraite want to promote access for all, we hope to raise money to be able to purchase laptops for our students from BAME backgrounds, we believe every student has the right to access a strong education and that race or financial status should not be a barrier to a better future.
