Abuela Does Disney
My abuela, Tomasa, is turning 95 years old this week. Ever since she was a young girl, she's wanted to see both Disney World and Mexico. Such trips never panned out; abuela has never seen either. In fact, she's never been on a real vacation before.
I want to celebrate the life of this remarkable woman by crossing both of these things off her list and taking her to Epcot where she can immerse herself in Disney and visit the Mexican Pavillion. But I need help to make that happen. Because we live in Florida, we can drive to Epcot. But we still need financial help with the hotel, transportation, food, and all the other expenses that come with a trip to Disney World.
Because abuela also has Lupus, in addition to her advanced age, we also need to purchase certain personal items that would make the trip more comfortable for her. Her wheelchair also needs some minor fixes before we set out.
We need a minimum of $500 for an accessible hotel room. Anything we get over that will be used for the other items. If we meet our total goal, we could choose a better hotel that's closer to the parks.
Thank you so much for making abuela's dream come true.
