My name is Levette Miller and I have hopes of gaining financial assistance to further my studies. I have been employed in the Hospitality field for the past 15 years At Atlantis Nassau Bahamas, also being nominated for and winning many awards including Manager of the Month and Manager of the Quarter for Emerald Period. Hospitality is what I love and enjoy doing as a career. This pandemic has caused me to pause and reflect on the direction of my life, thinking of ways to become an entrepreneur and use my experience and enthusiasm for hospitality. I have decided to take a step of faith and study abroad in Canada at Holland College to pursue a degree in International Hospitality Management starting September,2021. I am going to be the first in my family to attend college, and I am so excited to embark on this opportunity. Furthermore, I was one of those persons that was sent home for many months. During that time, I took steps to hone myself professionally. I enrolled in several online courses to gain more knowledge and become more competitive in my field.
During my time of study, the Bahamas tourism industry will be progressively increasing or even surpassing its normal occupancy level. My goal is to return to The Bahamas and provide the International knowledge gained from Canada which consist of diverse nationalities also in cooperation with my 15 years’ experience of the hotel industry. I will use my position to train and develop others in the Hospitality field. I want to start a business here in the Bahamas providing my services as a contractual Certified Hospitality Trainer (CHT). This will be my way of paying it forward.

International Student Fee is an additional $4,000 for the first year, and $3,250 for the second year. International Health Fee is an additional $750 per year.
