Welcome to the Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust (AHTT). A number of different organizations provide religious and cultural support to people of Hindu religion in Scotland. A group of volunteers in July 2014 from these organizations united under the umbrella of the Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust (AHTT) to serve the people of North-East Scotland. AHTT is a registered charitable company (SC044908; company number 469306).
The key objective of AHTT is to build a place of Hindu worship and a community center in Aberdeen. We bring members of the Hindu community in Aberdeen city and shire, under the various organizations together to a common place of worship, thereby promoting religious harmony and to help advancement of our rich heritage and culture in Hindu religion.
Our membership include Aberdeen Hindu Association (AHA), Indian Association of North-East Scotland (IANES), Art Of Living, Bramakumaris, Aberdeen Bengali Cultural Association (ABCA), Gujarati Association, Marathi Mandal Aberdeen, Nepali Hindu Association, Tamil group, Malayali Hindu group, Bangladesh Hindu Association, Telugu group, Kannada group, Malaysian Hindu group, and Srilankan Hindu group.
Our mission is to promote the Hindu culture and religious values; to encourage inter-religious social and cultural understanding and to support humanitarian causes. For effective delivery of these objectives, we will need a permanent place of worship.
Our target to raise total funds £400,000 and till date we have raised £160,000.
This is a golden chance for us to contribute towards this holy cause and derive eternal benefit.
Please note: Funds raised reflects donations received from various channels (Cheques, Cash, Online Transfer, and Card payments in events) hence may not immediate reconcile with other sources, due to manual updates required. All funds donated to Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust is managed by Vivek Rao Padakanti and Vivek will transfer all funds to Aberdeen Hindu Temple Trust as bank transfer.
