Abby & Jim Tedesco

Abby and Jim Tedesco were married just two short years ago on June 25th, and resided in Asheville, NC until recently. Jim and Abby moved to Pittsburgh, PA on November 1, 2017 with excitement to be closer to Jim's family, and to begin a new chapter in their lives. They had just settled in their new home and began new jobs when their plans were quickly redirected. At just 49 years of age, Jim suffered a devastating heart attack on November 14th. Because he suffered from oxygen depravation he became very unstable during those first hours/days. The doctor was able to do a heart catherization and successfully placed a stent. Within days of the heart attack the impact of the lack of oxygen began to show up in lab results which showed both liver and kidney failure. Jim is now on dialysis and everyone is hopeful that it will kickstart his kidneys back into action, however; this could take weeks or even months. Jim was taking baby steps in the healing process but on Friday, November 24th, he experienced yet another major setback with emergency surgery to repair/remove damaged colon, also a result from his initial instability. Jim is slowly improving, but he is facing months of recovery and rehabilitation before he and Abby can once again get started on this new chapter of their lives in Pittsburgh. They are so appreciative of their many friends and family who are rallying in their love and prayerful support. As you know, the challenges ahead are physical, emotional, and financial. The doctors are amazed at Jim's progress, and Abby remains by his side. All donations are greatly needed and appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.
