Abbie Winn

Many of you may have known Abbie and how sweet, kindhearted and wonderful she was. For those of you who didn’t get the chance to know her, Abbie didn’t have a bad bone in her body, she dedicated her time and effort into helping others and making others happy. Unfortunately she used this to mask how she really felt behind closed doors.

On Thursday 1st of May 2025, Abbie took her own life. She had tried calling for help, she had tried carrying on. Life had gotten too much for Abbie and she didn’t get the help she needed. She had just been receiving treatment from a hospital, the hca’s/nurses and people around her believed she shouldn’t be discharged due to her mental state not improving the way they wanted, however the decision was overruled and discharged her. Only days after, Abbie passed away.

To help her amazing Auntie Lin provide a special funeral service and funds for a headstone, we have set up this go fund me for anyone who is willing to support Lin and show how much they cared for and loved Abbie.

Suicide is happening more often than many realise, and this should be treated and handled seriously.

If you know anyone who is struggling mentally, give them a helping hand or someone to talk too. More people need to be helped and shown that life isn’t all bad, Abbie would do the same
