Abbi needs a new kidney

Hello everybody, as some of you are aware 18 months ago I was diagnosed with renal failure. This diagnoses was completely out of the blue as I had no symptoms, other than tiredness, which if you know me well is nothing new. My life was completely turned on its head. At the time of my diagnoses I was actually planning for a family which has had to be put on hold. Everything has changed for me and it has definitely been a lot to contend with for me and Josh.

Every aspect of my life has changed, for the past 12 months I have been on peritoneal dialysis, this has consisted of spending 10 hours a day being connected to a machine just so I can stay alive.

Lucky for me I have an amazing family for support. There is a silver lining to all this and this is where you can all help.... my beautiful twin sister, Leor, has offered to be a live donor for me. She is a perfect match!! The only problem is, as you all know I live in Australia but Leor resides in the UK. It has been a logistical nightmare due to Covid to get her over here.

I have decided to set up this page to financially help my sister to get to Australia, she is having to go through the Australian embassy to create an application. She will have to spend 8 to 10 weeks in Perth ( 2 weeks will be spent in quarantine) and 6 to 8 weeks recovery. She will giving up work for that time, and leaving her two beautiful children behind in the UK, which also means her husband will have to reduce his hours to take care of the children. All of this to help me and save my life !!
