Abbeygale & Tristan Dagostino's Education Fund

Donation protected

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Michael, loving husband to Chantal and cherished father of Abbeygale and Tristan of Skead and father Michele Dagostino of Garson, mother Cathie (predeceased). He will be sadly missed by his in-laws Real and Jacynth Gregoire of Victoriaville, Quebec and sister's in-law Nadia (Kevin Moore) of Quebec & Amelie (Andrew Hodder) of Keswick. There are too many extended family members to mention who are greatly grieving his loss. One special mention is his "brother" and inseparable friend, Uncle Paul. Michael was all about family, whether you were related or a friend, you always remained close to him. He cared about you and your family and always reached out to see how life was treating you.

Michael had a lust for life that could not be contained. Lover of nature and the outdoors, with a creative soul to always try new things and give it your best. His students at St. Charles College can attest to his unwavering support and nurturing of their dreams and aspirations in academics, sports or drama. Whether coaching football or putting on a play, his encouragement to follow your dreams was sincere. Teaching was a way for him to encourage and support his students to reach for their dreams. He was a true example of what he preached. After high school he followed a football career that took him to Germany to play pro ball, a game he loved. When he returned, he stayed involved in the sport as a coach with the St. Charles Cardinals, Sudbury Spartans & St. Benedicts Bears. He shared his passion for football with his son Tristan, an up-and-coming promising player as well as Papa and Nono's garage sidekick. Anyone who knew him, will tell you Michael always walked the talk. Never afraid to try new adventures and with the support of Chantal, he took his leap of faith on a new chapter in his life. His love of drama led him on a new path, leaving teaching to pursue an acting career. We could not have been prouder of his accomplishments. Don't be surprised if you see him on your small screen some evening. His daughter Abbey follows in his footsteps pursuing drama and sports. She has inherited his sharp wit and sassy sense of humor.

Whether you remember him as Michael, Mike, Dago, Dog, Dogman, Coach, Teacher, Mentor, Friend, or "God", you will never forget his smile, his laughter, his bear hugs and his love of life, family and friends. Rest in Peace Michael knowing that Chantal, Abbey and Tristan will always be loved and supported by your family and many friends.

In his memory live each day chasing your dreams.

Donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice (in memory of his mother Cathie), Heart & Stroke or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
